Prima Repeater Syringes replacement nut
The replacement needle nut for the repeater syringe range, fitted when the needle no longer seats square and tight.
Details
The needle nut is a small part with an outsized effect. It is what holds the needle square on the end of the syringe, and once it is worn or cross-threaded the needle sits crooked, weeps around the joint or works loose mid-run. Rather than write off a syringe over it, this is the part that gets changed. It is the needle nut for the Prima-Shot repeater syringe range. It is a fitting, not part of the dose mechanism, so changing it does not disturb the dose setting or require the barrel to come off the gun. If the gun is also delivering short or filling slowly, the nut is not your problem. That points at the O-ring or the barrel, and both of those are available separately. Treat this as a consumable. Nuts wear from repeated needle changes and from being tightened with pliers rather than fingers, and having a spare in the kit is cheaper than losing the use of a gun in the middle of a run. Do the thread up by hand, snug rather than forced, and rinse the joint out with warm water when the gun is cleaned so product does not dry in the threads.
