This is the screw-on style, one inch in diameter and three inches long, formed from a rubber compound chosen to stay pliable through repeated washing and cold mornings rather than going hard. It is soft enough for a young calf to work and tough enough to stand up to an aggressive nurser. Fitment is worth checking before you order. A screw-on nipple needs the threaded cap ring to hold its flange against the bottle mouth. If you are replacing a nipple on a bottle that still has its cap, this is all you need; if the cap has gone missing or cracked, that is a separate part and is stocked alongside. Rinse it inside and out after every feed and let it dry rather than leaving it on the bottle. Milk residue left in the tip is what stiffens rubber and shortens its life.
