Little Giant digital incubator, model 12500, from Miller Manufacturing. In Miller's Digital Egg Incubators range the 12500 is a model with a fan; the range also includes the 9500 still-air, 10500 circulated-air and 11500 fan-and-turner models. Miller lists a styrofoam body with a heating element run by a digital control board, an LCD display with LED light that shows temperature and humidity, a built-in digital humidity reading with water channels in the base, a dishwasher-safe plastic mesh floor screen and two 4 inch by 8 inch viewing windows. Miller says it "Holds 41 large chicken eggs or up to 120 bantam or quail eggs when used with the Little Giant Automatic Egg Turner." The egg turner is sold separately. Miller's instructions say "The Incubator comes preset to 99.5°F (37.5°C for Model 12500)" and give a typical humidity range of about 45–55% during incubation and about 60–70% for the last 3 days before hatching. Without a turner, they say to "turn eggs at least 2-3 times per day at the same time every day." Before eggs go in: "Prior to putting eggs in the Incubator, run the incubator for at least 4-8 hours to ensure the incubator is holding your desired setting temperature and humidity." Miller also notes: "This product is intended for general poultry hobbyists and is not recommended for professional or commercial use or for incubating exotic birds or reptiles."
