A circulated-air incubator with a fan that keeps the temperature even throughout the cabinet rather than letting it stratify the way a still-air unit does. The shell is styrofoam, which is what holds heat steadily in a room that is not itself heated. It takes 41 large chicken eggs, or up to 120 bantam or quail eggs. The controls are digital: a self-regulating control board with an LCD display, an LED light, and a built-in digital hygrometer so humidity is a number you read rather than a thing you guess at. Two four-by-eight inch viewing windows let you watch a hatch without lifting the lid and dumping the heat and humidity you have spent days building. The floor screen is plastic mesh and goes in the dishwasher. An egg turner is not included and is bought separately. Without one you are turning eggs by hand at least three times a day, which is doable but easy to let slip. Set the incubator up and run it empty for a day before eggs go in, somewhere out of a draft and away from a window, and let it settle. A stable room makes far more difference to a hatch than most people expect.
