An automatic turner that fits any Little Giant circulated-air or still-air incubator and holds 41 chicken eggs. An electric motor rotates the eggs for you, which stops the yolk settling to one side and keeps the embryo moving. It arrives with no assembly required, is CSA listed, and the plastic is dishwasher safe. Hand turning is the part of incubating that people quit over. Eggs need turning at least three times a day for the better part of three weeks, and one busy weekend or a trip to town at the wrong moment can cost you a hatch. A turner takes the whole question away, and hatch rates go up for most people simply because the job now gets done consistently. Two things to know before you order. Turkey and duck eggs will not fit this turner, so if that is what you are setting, this is not the right item. And for quail or other small eggs there are optional quail rails stocked separately that stop them rolling around in the racks. Rinse it out between hatches, because a broken egg left in a turner sours and will contaminate the next batch.
