Seventeen and a half gallons of capacity in a tub 21.75 inches across, not counting the handles, and 17.25 inches high. It is moulded from high-density polyethylene chosen to resist warping and to hold off the stress cracks that eventually split a cheaper tub down the side. Muck tubs live a hard life. They get dragged over concrete, loaded well past what anyone intended, tipped into a spreader and left outdoors. HDPE handles that better than most plastics because it takes the flexing without starting a crack, and the handles here are moulded into the tub rather than riveted on to pull out under a heavy load. The wide mouth means a fork goes in without catching the rim, which sounds trivial until you have cleaned six stalls. Seventy quarts is the standard barn size, and it pairs with the Little Giant multi-purpose muck cart, sold separately, if you are moving it any distance. Beyond mucking it works for feed storage, hauling firewood in from the pile, or soaking tack. In deep cold, empty it rather than letting a load freeze in, and drag it rather than dropping it loaded off a tailgate.
