Details
A 3-quart nursing bottle in FDA-compliant food-grade polyethylene, translucent enough to read the level as the animal drinks. The body is 4.1 inches square and 14 inches high, and the top is threaded for a screw-on nipple cap. The nipple is one inch across and three inches long, in a rubber formula chosen for pliability and longer life. The square body is not styling. It is what seats the bottle properly in a Little Giant wire bottle holder instead of letting it roll, and it is easier to keep hold of in a mitt than a round bottle. Translucent walls let you see how much a calf has actually taken, which is real information when you are watching a slow starter. Screw-on is the choice for anyone who has had a nipple come off mid-feed. The nipple flange is captured by a threaded cap that turns down onto the bottle neck, so a hard-pulling calf is not going to strip it off. It is a three-piece system, so the nipple and the cap are both stocked separately for when the rubber finally goes soft. Wash it out after every feed so milk residue does not build up.
