Little Giant 20 Quart Plastic Bucket (P20FB)
Twenty-quart flat-back polyethylene bucket, 14.75 inches across and 13 deep, hanging flush on a notched wire bail for stall use.
Details
Five gallons in a flat-back pail, 14.75 inches across and 13 inches high, moulded in polyethylene resin selected to take impact, resist warping and hold off stress cracks. The straight back sits flush to a wall or panel and the wire bail is notched so it hangs square and stays hung. At twenty quarts this is a serious water bucket rather than a feed pail. Hung in a box stall it holds enough that a horse is not dry by the middle of the night, and in a calving pen it saves you a trip. The capacity is also why the flat back earns its keep at this size, since five gallons swinging on a round pail is a lot of weight looking for a reason to come off the hook. Filled, you are handling about forty pounds, so hang it first and fill it in place wherever a hose reaches. Stacking ribs let a column of them come apart cleanly in the porch. Through winter, dump it at last chores rather than letting it freeze full, because a five gallon block of ice takes most of a day to thaw and is awkward to carry anywhere.
