Wadsworth Tri-bander
The Wadsworth Tri-bander, the mid size tool in the range, for routine banding work in a chute.
Details
Wadsworth has a long standing reputation in banding equipment and it comes down to one thing: consistent tension. A tool that applies the same tension every time gives you a clean job every time, and a tool that does not is the reason people end up going back to check animals. Everything else about a bander is secondary to that. The Tri-bander is the middle of the range. It handles routine work on young stock and it is built as a working tool rather than a disposable one. You buy it once and go through rings, which is the correct way round. Uses Tri-bander rings, sold separately in 25 packs. If you are regularly working larger or older animals, look at the XL-bander instead, because using an undersized tool on a big animal is where jobs go wrong and it is not the tool's fault. Follow accepted technique and the timing and pain control expectations that apply to the age of animal you are working. In Canada those expectations are set out in the Codes of Practice and they have tightened over the years. Your veterinarian is the right person to confirm what applies to your operation.
