Gloves get used at the rate they are available. A hundred-count box gets rationed and ends up empty at the wrong moment, while a two-hundred-count box gets left in the truck, in the barn and in the calving kit, and the gloves actually get worn. That is the argument for this size more than any feature of the glove itself. They are nitrile, latex free and powder free. Nitrile is the sensible default around a farm because it stands up to oils, disinfectants and solvents better than latex does, and because latex sensitivity is common enough in a crew that it is not worth designing around. Powder free means nothing is left behind on what you touch. They come 200 to a box in a range of sizes, and it is worth taking a size that fits properly, because a loose glove is worse than none when you are working around anything sharp. Exam gloves are single use. They are not a substitute for a chemical-resistant gauntlet when you are mixing something concentrated, and they are not meant to be washed and reused. Keep a box where the work happens rather than one box in a cupboard, and change them as soon as one is torn or contaminated.
