A barrel that has gone cloudy, been scratched by grit or cracked against a rail is a barrel you cannot read a dose off, and that is a reason to change the barrel rather than replace a working gun with a sound metal handle and mechanism. Fitment is the thing people get wrong here. This barrel fits the 25 mL Prima-Shot repeater syringe and nothing else. The 50 mL gun takes its own barrel and the two are not interchangeable, even though they look like relatives on the shelf. Check the dose range marked on your gun before ordering, because a 25 mL body runs 0.25 to 2.5 mL while a 50 mL body runs 0.5 to 5 mL. Because the O-ring comes with it, this is a proper rebuild rather than a patch. The seal that governs dose accuracy is renewed at the same time as the barrel you read the dose from. Fit it with the gun clean and dry, then prime and check the delivered volume into a graduated cup before the gun goes back to work. O-rings on their own are available separately if the barrel itself is still sound.
