Fenbendazole is one of the benzimidazole dewormers, and it works differently from the ivermectin family — it interferes with the parasite's ability to build the internal structures it needs to feed, so worms starve rather than being paralysed. That different mode of action is the whole reason to keep a bottle of it around even if you normally reach for a macrocyclic lactone: on a lot of operations the parasites have seen far more ivermectin than they have benzimidazole. The liquid suspension form is meant for drenching, which gives you more control over the delivered dose than a paste or a top-dress does. A 250 mL bottle is a small-herd or single-animal size — handy for the animal that needs treating today rather than a whole-group program. Shake it well before you draw it up; the active settles, and a bottle that has sat on a shelf all winter is not evenly mixed. Dose, species, and withdrawal times all come off the label, not off a web page. Fenbendazole's withdrawal intervals for meat and milk differ by species and by product concentration, and getting that wrong has consequences well beyond the animal in front of you. If you are treating a class of animal the label does not name, or you are trying to work out what your resistance picture actually is, that is a conversation with your veterinarian. A useful habit: do a fecal egg count before and roughly two weeks after treating a representative group. It is the only way to know whether the product you just paid for did anything, and it tells you more about your farm than any general advice can.
