InCide 25 Fly Killer 500ml
Concentrated fly killer, 500 mL — a dilutable insecticide concentrate for barn and outbuilding fly control.
Details
A concentrate is bought for cost per treated area, not for convenience. Diluted according to its label it makes a considerable volume of finished spray, which is what you want when you are treating the inside of a barn, a hog shed, or a machine shop rather than spot-spraying a few animals. If you are only doing an occasional touch-up, a ready-to-use bottle is easier; if you are spraying buildings every few weeks all summer, this is the format that makes sense. Everything about how you use it comes off the label: the active ingredient, the dilution rate for the surface and pest you are treating, whether it is approved for use around animals or only in empty buildings, re-entry intervals, and how long it keeps working. Those details differ enormously between products that look alike, and mixing this one at the rate you remember for a different one is how people end up with either no control or a residue problem. Read it before you open it, every season. Mix only what you will use in a day. Diluted insecticide breaks down, and a sprayer left charged over a weekend in a hot shop is both less effective and more of a hazard than an empty one. Use a dedicated sprayer, label it clearly, and never use the same tank for herbicide. Wear what the label calls for — at minimum gloves and eye protection, and respiratory protection if you are spraying overhead in an enclosed building. Keep it out of feed, water and milk-handling areas, cover or remove feed before spraying, and keep animals and people out until the re-entry interval has passed. And keep the expectation right: spraying kills adults, while the flies keep coming from wet manure and spilled feed. Clean that up and you will spray a great deal less.
