A hundred number 10 blades, individually sealed and sterile, to fit a number 3 handle. Buying blades by the box and mounting them on a reusable handle is the cheapest way there is to guarantee that every cut you make is made with a fresh edge. The 10 is the standard curved blade in the small range: a rounded belly with the edge along the outside, cut by drawing the belly through tissue. It is the default for skin incisions on calves, lambs, kids, dogs and cats, and for anything on a larger animal that needs to be small and precise. At a hundred to the box, there is no reason to reuse a blade. That matters more than it sounds like it should, because a fresh blade parts tissue at almost no pressure while a used one drags and tears, and torn edges heal slower and get infected more often. These fit a number 3 handle only. If your handle is a number 4, you want blades in the twenties instead. Mount and remove them with a needle driver or pliers, never with fingers, and always strip the blade pointing away from you. Used blades go straight into a sharps container. Restraint, clean prep and pain control matter more than the blade, and anything past your training is a call to the vet.
