Cattle Boss luer lock nylon syringe with dosing nut up to 100ml
Reusable 100ml nylon luer lock syringe with a dosing nut, the largest barrel, for bulk-volume work on mature animals.
Details
A hundred millilitres is a lot of syringe, and it exists for a narrow set of jobs: bulk-volume products, mature cattle at the top of a dose range, and situations where the alternative is filling a smaller barrel five times per animal. The dosing nut is essential at this size rather than a convenience. Nobody accurately reads a hundred millilitre barrel with a cow leaning on the chute, so setting the plunger stop and confirming it against the graduations once is how the dose stays honest. Check the setting again any time the syringe has travelled. Know what you are taking on. It is slow to fill, it takes real hand strength to push, it is poor at anything under about twenty millilitres, and no product label lets you put a hundred millilitres into a single site. A dose this large is meant to be split across multiple sites, and ignoring that produces injection site lesions that cost money at slaughter and hurt the animal in the meantime. If most of your work is vaccine doses, buy a ten instead and leave this one on the shelf. Nylon holds up where glass would not. Hot water only for washing, because soap and disinfectant residue kills modified live vaccine. Strip it to dry and replace the O-ring when the plunger goes loose. Dose, route, site and volume per site come from the label or your veterinarian.
