Same build as the other colours: adjustable crown, flat nylon web nose, hardware that stands up to an animal leaning on it, sized to work on a cow or a horse. Red earns its keep on visibility. That means you find the halter, and it also means anyone across the yard can see at a glance which animal is caught and which one is not. In winter country that is not a small thing, because a black halter dropped in a snowed-in corral is a lost halter until spring. Red also fades the fastest. Full sun will take it toward pink over a couple of seasons. The webbing is just as strong faded as it was new; it only looks tired. Nylon does not rot and does not break, which is the point of it in your hand and the risk of it on an unattended animal, since a halter left on in a pen with something to catch on will not give way. Keep an eye on the stitching at the throat and the nose ring, wash it in a bucket rather than a machine, and dry it out of the sun if you care about keeping the colour.
