Details
Mechanically this is the same halter as the black, blue and red: adjustable crown, flat nylon web, hardware built for animals that pull, and a fit that suits cattle and horses both. Green is a preference, and it comes with one honest caveat. Green is the hardest of the four to find in grass. Drop it in a pasture or hang it on a wire fence in July and you will walk past it twice. If your halters live on a hook in a tack room that does not matter at all. If they live wherever they came off last, pick a different colour. What green does well is look unobtrusive and hide the middle range of farm dirt, better than a light colour and not as well as black. It is also the choice for people who already run green tack and want things to match, which is a perfectly good reason to buy a halter. The nylon web will not rot, stiffen or break. That last part matters: a halter that does not let go is what you want in your hand and not what you want on an animal left alone in a pen with protrusions to catch. Inspect the stitching at the throat and around the nose ring, since that is where the load goes. Bucket wash, shade dry, and it will outlast several sets of snaps.
