Details
The large size, for calves past what a medium will hold. Getting the size right is most of whether this works at all, because an undersized flap on a big calf either pinches or comes out in the brush on day one. Same principle as the smaller size. The calf grazes and drinks as normal but cannot get a suck, so it loses the habit over several days while still running with the cow. Separate after that and you get considerably less bawling and fence walking than pulling them cold produces. The yellow earns its keep. Checking whether flaps are still in means looking at calves from a distance, and yellow reads across a summer pasture where green does not. Check them daily regardless. A flap that has worked loose is doing no good at all, and a calf will find the gap well before you find the flap.
