Details
Rodents Away Odor Free is a domestic-class mouse repellent registered with Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency by Rodents Odor Free International, Inc. under PCP Registration No. 33648. The label's guarantee is stearic acid and related fatty acids, 99.7%. The registration covers packages from 120 g to 1.92 kg, all built from 40 g sachets; this listing is the "240 g (6 x 40 g sachets)" size. It is a repellent, not a rodenticide and not a trap - there is no bait to carry off and nothing to snap. The label states what it is for in one sentence: "Rodents Away Odor Free reduces house mouse (Mus musculus) presence and activity." Its registered use site is equally specific: "For use in: Indoor spaces including modes of transport (e.g., homes and recreational vehicles) where house mice are present." So the registration covers house mice, indoors - including a trailer, camper or RV - and it does not extend to rats. Directions, quoted from the label: the sachets "are best located on the floor along walls, in confined places, by gnawed openings, and on either side of doorways", placed "at approximately 3 m (10 ft) intervals throughout the areas", with "one sachet within each space (one per 114 L volume)" for an enclosed space. The label says to "Check every two weeks" and to "Replace sachets as necessary". Read the full label before use and follow it. Precautions, quoted from the label: "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN" and "Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling." First aid, in full: "If swallowed Call a poison control centre or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control centre or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If on skin or clothing Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice. If inhaled Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control centre or doctor for further treatment advice. If in eyes Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice." Toxicological information: "Treat symptomatically." Storage and disposal: "Store this product away from food or feed." and "DO NOT reuse the empty packaging or sachets. Dispose in household garbage." Where to buy Rodents Away Odor Free in Alberta: Pipestone Farm Supply lists it in Millet, between Leduc and Wetaskiwin south of Edmonton, with free in-store pickup and Canada-wide shipping. If you are dealing with rats rather than house mice, or you need a bait rather than a repellent, our mouse and rat control category also lists the Tomcat refillable and disposable bait stations, the Tomcat rodent repellent spray and the Tomcat ultrasonic repeller, each with its own registration and its own use sites. Pesticides are regulated by Health Canada; read and follow the label before every use. - Source: Health Canada PMRA registered-product label for RODENTS AWAY ODOR FREE, PCP Registration No. 33648 (Rodents Odor Free International, Inc.), viewed September 2026.
