A bigger hook-over feeder at 15 quarts, roughly three and three-quarter gallons, measuring 12 inches deep by 13.25 wide and 13.25 high. The bracket is moulded into the body and hooks over any two-by board, and screw holes are there if you would sooner mount it permanently. Screws are not included. Two things separate this from the smaller hook-overs: the handle on top, and the fact that it stacks. The handle lets you carry it full from the feed room to the pen in one hand and hang it without setting it down, which is a genuine advantage over balancing a loaded feeder on a rail while you sort out the bracket. Stacking matters at the other end of the season, when a dozen of them have to go somewhere for the summer without filling half a shed. Fifteen quarts feeds a group rather than an individual, so this is the one for a pen of ewes, a run of goats or a bunch of weaned calves. Durable impact-resistant plastic means it takes being butted and climbed on, though like anything plastic it appreciates being handled gently in deep cold.
