Details
This is the charging station for a rechargeable DuraProd handle, running off standard 110 volt power. The base holds the handle upright and the adapter plugs into the wall, so the prod has a home instead of living on a shelf with a cord wrapped around it. The practical value of a proper base is that the tool actually gets charged. A handle that has to be plugged in by hand at the end of a long day rarely gets plugged in at all, and then it is flat on the morning you have eighty head to run. Mount it somewhere you walk past on your way out of the barn and it looks after itself. Put it where it stays dry and above the splash line when pens get washed down. Keep the contacts clean, because dust and hair build up on a charger base surprisingly fast in a barn. Do not run it off a marginal extension cord across a wet floor. If the handle stops holding a charge, look at the battery pack before you blame the charger.
